Location: United States

I'm a woman who is considering emigration from the USA to Israel. I'm not Jewish, but have enough of a Jewish background to be allowed under the Israeli Law of Return. I am a zionist, but sadly, as a child my main understanding about my family's background was being taught by my grandfather about the Holocaust, and that these were "my people." I wasn't raised with any cultural or religious traditions other than regular American ones. BTW, my real name is not Yaakova--I made the name up. (But I must say, it has a nice ring to it!)

I am impressed by some of the things you have done. You have sold art ? WOW. That is cool. What part of your face is pierced? It doesn't show on your caricature! Shame on you for causing an accident! I can hardly go 5 minutes without eating, yet alone 5 days!
I will copy and paste this onto my blog, but I have to go to the library because this antique laptop isn't letting me create new posts, hence my non-blogging.
Maybe tomorrow when I am off.

Maureen-
Don't be impressed! Mosat of it was long ago! For example: I sold my art at a street fair when I was 7. (Isn't that cute, though?)
And my mom sells her own art, since she's a professional artist. You can visit her at www.coconutcoaststudios.com.
(I'll blog about that soon.)

4 years ago, I felt repressed, so I got my nose pierced. Hardly anyone ever knew, but I knew-- and liked it. Unfortunately, I let the hole close up and there's no way I will ever volunteer for that kind of pain again!!

Truly, shame on me for causing an accident. I am very ashamed of that.

And I fasted once in my early 20s. I have no idea how I survived it, since I'm hypoglycemic! Never again!

I can't wait to read yours! You could just put it all in my comments section, if that would be easier for you. :)

Oh man, I knew I shouldn't have come here! :D

You have done quite a lot of things there Yaakova! I don't know that mine will be so interesting.

About your nose piercing closing over... I have had 3 parts of my face pierced besides my ears, I did my nose myself a couple of times - all you need is lots of ice, a strong needle and lots of teenage madness! I also pierced my lip and I also had a labret (chin piercing) they are all gone now though!!

Looks like I am tagged?!

BB-
I'm in awe. How you could endure the pain of piercing your nose twice is beyond me. I'd only do it if I had some really effective anesthetics!
Yes, you certainly ARE tagged!!
(But take as long as you like-- you have a lot going on right now.)

Y, I forgot to go the library today, but I DID get ALL of my holiday shopping done, even a little something for me!
I tried to leave a comment for BB, and this infernal computer doesn't recogize the visual, so I couldn't post. May I use your blog to post here for her?

BB, I read your meme and I know you much better!
I am keeping Amber (and your whole family) in my prayers that her surgery goes well. I hope this is the beginning of a long and healthy life for the little sweetie-pie. I often donate to the Ronald McDonald House Charities and I am so proud that I now know that the donations are going to good use, and someone I know (via bloggland!) is able to have a little of the load lightened in such a stressful time.
Best wishes and keep us posted.

Maureen,
It's fine that you posted a (super nice!) message to BB here. I'll leave a message on her blog to let her know to look for it here.

Maybe you could email Ronald McDonald House for her if they cancel BB's family's reservations again! (Just kidding-- sort of--)

Wow, I wonder what is going on with my comments? I haven't changed to the beta blogger or anything!

Maureen, thanks for your kind wishes. Ronald McDonald House are unbelievable! We rely on them so much when we have Amber in hospital. It is a great blessing to have them.

Yaakova, Thanks for letting me know about the comments thingy.
:D
